What it is
The SCI is a family of monthly series computed from the Scopes record. For each venue, desk and horizon it reports three labeled numbers: skill (a Brier skill score against the cell's own base rate), accuracy (mean Brier score), and calibration (the reliability term), each with a 90 percent interval from a cluster bootstrap by event. A cell publishes only when it has at least 30 eligible observations; otherwise it shows insufficient data. The Scopes Fair Value is not scored by the index; the Administrator does not benchmark its own estimates within a benchmark it administers. Values from before the first same-day anchor are labeled backfill and shown separately. The methodology is versioned, published for consultation before taking effect, and never changed retroactively.
Methodology v0.9 (consultation; v1.0 effective Oct 24, 2026) · Oversight Log · First values: November 5, 2026.
Who it is for
Issuers who need a benchmark their product tracks or is judged against. Venues that want their series measured by someone they do not control. Funds, administrators and researchers who need to cite a calibration figure with a methodology behind it. Anyone who needs a custom benchmark: a custom series is parameters on the standard, administered under the same rules.
What you receive
Published values with intervals, observation counts, exclusions and proofs, monthly. Series pages with CSV and JSON. The methodology document and the Oversight Log. For custom mandates: a methodology document for the series, first values, and monthly administration with corrections appended.
How it is priced
Citation with attribution is free for media, academic and non-commercial use. Institutional use of published values requires a citation license. Custom benchmarks are priced per mandate: a construction fee and an annual administration fee. Product use, meaning any financial product or index-linked instrument referencing the SCI, requires a separate product license.
